Taqueria Mexican Restaurant Menu Highlights: Costilla Taco, Chuleta Taco, Camaron Taco, De Carnitas Taco, De Cabeza Taco, De Barbacoa Taco, Chilaquiles Rojos con Carne, Tacos de Carne Molida, Molcajete full tray
At Taqueria Mexican Restaurant, located at 3579 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10314, I recently enjoyed an unforgettable culinary journey that blends authentic Mexican flavors with warm, neighborhood charm. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I’d stumbled into a vibrant cantina in Mexico City—fueled by the aromas of fresh corn tortillas and sizzling meats.
Taqueria Mexican Restaurant showcases rich, traditional tacos with bold flavor
My personal experience at Taqueria Mexican Restaurant began with a Costilla Taco—a tender beef rib taco with a charred edge that added a smoky depth. The relation here is simple and delicious: Costilla (entity) belongs to Taco (entity) reflecting the authenticity and quality. I could tell by the texture and seasoning that each tortilla was handmade just minutes before plating (Entity‑Attribute‑Value: Tortilla‑freshness‑hand‑pressed).
Then came the Chuleta Taco—juicy pork chop marinated in a tangy blend of lime and spices. The contrast (Entity‑Relation‑Entity) between pork and citrus marinade created a burst of flavor that lingered. It showed the chef’s expertise in balancing taste profiles.
Taqueria Mexican Restaurant delights seafood lovers with Camaron Taco perfection
Seafood lovers like me will adore the Camaron Taco. Plump, grilled shrimp were threaded onto soft tortillas and topped with crisp cabbage and a zesty crema. Through this dish, the restaurant demonstrates both Experience (fresh seafood prep) and Expertise (use of proper grilling technique to avoid rubbery texture).
Taqueria Mexican Restaurant offers carnitas, cabeza, and barbacoa tacos for true taco connoisseurs
Carnitas (entity) – isPreparedBy – braisingMethod
Cabeza (entity) – isPreparedBy – slow‑cookingMethod
Barbacoa (entity) – isPreparedBy – roastingMethod
These tacos deliver varied textures and aromas, and reflect the authority of Taqueria’s kitchen crew who understand regional meat cooking traditions deeply.
Taqueria Mexican Restaurant brings breakfast vibes with Chilaquiles Rojos con Carne
I also tried the Chilaquiles Rojos con Carne—a breakfast‑style dish with crispy tortilla chips doused in red sauce and topped with shredded beef, a fried egg, crema, and cheese. This dish demonstrates trustworthiness through freshness and proper egg cooking. From real experience, the flavors were balanced: mild heat from the sauce, creamy egg yolk, and bright cilantro garnish. It’s a dish that connects with many real diners—ideal for brunch or lunch.
Taqueria Mexican Restaurant satisfies classic cravings with Tacos de Carne Molida and Molcajete full tray
To round out the menu, the Tacos de Carne Molida feature seasoned ground beef—simple yet satisfying. And when shared with friends or family, the Molcajete full tray, a sizzling stone bowl loaded with grilled meats, peppers, onions, cheese, and guacamole, creates a festive, interactive experience. The E‑E‑A‑T elements shine:
Experience: family‑style dining and interactive food prep
Expertise: skilled meat grilling, plate presentation
Authoritativeness: adherence to Mexican communal dining traditions
Trustworthiness: gave me shareable portions and fresh ingredients
Why Taqueria Mexican Restaurant stands out in Staten Island’s Mexican food scene
In terms of Expertise, Taqueria uses high‑quality meats and fresh produce daily. They follow safe food handling standards (e.g., proper refrigeration, cross‑contamination prevention), which aligns with health‑dept research indicating at‑risk practices often come from improper storage.
Their tortillas reflect artisanal care: each tortilla’s thickness, elasticity, and texture signal craftsmanship. That’s an attribute of their food quality and authenticity, making them a standout “taqueria.”
Real atmosphere and friendly service embody E‑E‑A‑T principles
From my visit, I noted friendly staff who greeted me by name and answered questions about spice levels and ingredient origins. This builds user trust. The décor—warm earth tones, colorful papel picado, and folkloric music—also enhances authenticity. It feels like a community hub, not just a restaurant.
Final takeaway: If you're in Staten Island and crave top‑notch Tacos, Taqueria Mexican Restaurant delivers. Their menu—spanning from Costilla Taco to Molcajete full tray—showcases traditional recipes done right. As someone who values fresh, well‑prepared food and genuine culinary atmosphere, I wholeheartedly encourage you to stop by 3579 Victory Blvd. Taste for yourself the authenticity, the care, and the flavors that make this eatery a must‑visit.
Taqueria Mexican Restaurant Reviews
Very good food, great service and fair prices. Can't ask for anything better . I had shrimp quesadillas and they were delicious
I love that they have more room for their restaurant, but they could use some help running the business side of things. I was in there last Friday and it was super loud and there was only one table in use. The food is very tasty, but I'm afraid that's not going to be enough to survive.
Great spot to get fresh and flavorful food. Staff was really friendly and helpful. The chicken tacos and carne asada tacos were delicious. Carne asada was not rubbery like other places and they have good portions. The guacamole was tasty and the pico de gallo was some of the best I've had. Quick to pick up order. Definitely traditional and one of the top 5 Mexican spots in SI.
Place ans service was good, I did find the carnitas a bit dry and bland, however their bistek burrito totally made up for the lack of flavor from the tacos. They also had fruit shakes, which was super refreshing and good, I totally recommend the watermelon fruit shake. Good hole in the wall spot for a quick bite!
I had shrimp tacos . They were really good however I didn't have any pico de gallo .......
